Nova Oculus was founded in 2016. The name Nova Oculus is a loose translation from the Latin meaning “New Eyes.”

Advancing Treatment Efficacy: The Evolution of the Nova Oculus Device
Over eight years ago, Nova Oculus acquired groundbreaking microcurrent technology for the treatment of Dry AMD from its inventor and began developing a medical treatment device based on it. Our first-generation device, which is the first known efficacious treatment for Dry AMD, which has been in use in research for years, marked the initial implementation of this technology by Nova Oculus.
Since then, we have introduced two new iterations, each time significantly improving the device’s treatment efficacy over the past models.
1st Generation Nova Oculus Device
We are excited by a new advance in the efficacy of the Nova Oculus III. Through our ongoing clinical research, a discovery was made that greatly improves how the Nova Oculus III delivers the treatment therapy. After modifying the device with this therapy delivery improvement, patients involved in this research immediately indicated a high increase in phosphenes they are experiencing. One patient called it a “star shower” and it is remarkable that patients who have been involved in this research for over a year not only immediately noticed this increase and improved vision, but also that the treatment was much more comfortable.
